DataMote Board

DataMote is a state-of-the-art embedded IoT node and gateway for use in wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSAN). Custom developed and fully tested, it comprises a versatile electronic board featuring Texas Instruments (TI) ARM processors and integrated circuits, and embedded software involving drivers, middleware and application libraries running on the TI real-time operating system (TI-RTOS).

Since both the electronics and the embedded software were developed in-house, any hardware component as well as the software can be modified to the requirements of a given use case, making the whole system a versatile solution platform, rather than a fixed product. We developed an array of solutions using DataMote, which have been tested and deployed in the field at technology readiness level (TRL) of 8.
